Your local coupon book.
In your community's pocket.

LocalFork digitizes the annual Chamber of Commerce coupon book. Your community still buys it. Your members still fill it. Local businesses still honor it. But now it lives on every shopper's phone, redeems with a scan, and gives you the redemption data you've never had.

No app store. No printing press. No annual contract.

The coupon book still works.
The paper doesn't have to.

Chambers across the country still sell a printed coupon book every year, and your community is happy to pay $30 for $5,000 in local savings. The model is proven. But the paper is starting to show its age — printing costs eat into margin, books sell out, mid-year fixes are impossible, and you never really know if anyone uses the coupons inside.

LocalFork keeps everything that works and removes everything that doesn't.

Four moving parts. Three minutes to grasp.

  1. 1

    Set up your chamber's storefront

Pick your subdomain (e.g. marshall.localfork.vip), upload your logo, set your price. Live in ten minutes.

  2. 2

    Invite your members

Each member gets their own login. They build and edit their own coupons; you approve them with one click. Free for them, same as the paper book.

  3. 3

Your community buys the book online

Standard $30 (or whatever you set). Stripe handles checkout. The money lands in your bank account — LocalFork takes a small, transparent cut.

  4. 4

    Merchants redeem with a scan

Shoppers show a rotating QR code at the register. Staff scan it with any phone, mark it used, done. You see exactly which coupons get used, when, and where.

Frequently asked questions

What is LocalFork?

LocalFork is a software platform that lets a Chamber of Commerce sell a digital coupon book to their community. Member businesses upload their own coupons free of charge, shoppers buy and redeem on their phones, and the chamber gets real redemption data for the first time.

How is this different from a printed coupon book?

Same business model, no paper. The chamber still sells the book to your community for around $30. Member businesses still contribute coupons for free as a membership benefit. The difference: coupons live on shoppers' phones, redeem with a QR scan at the register, and you can see exactly which ones get used. Coupons can also be added or fixed mid-year, which is impossible on paper.

How much does it cost?

LocalFork charges chambers a small monthly platform fee plus a percentage of each book sold. No setup fee, no charge to your member businesses, no annual contract. Request a quote for your chamber's specific situation.

How do redemptions work?

Shoppers tap a coupon in their digital wallet, which shows a unique rotating QR code. The merchant scans it with any smartphone using LocalFork's built-in scanner. The system validates the code on the server, marks the coupon used (single-use is enforced at the database level), and records the redemption — giving the chamber real-time data.

Do member businesses need to be technical?

No. Members log in to their own dashboard, write their coupon description, pick a category, and submit for chamber approval. It looks like filling out a form. The chamber approves with one click, and the coupon goes live.

What about fraud — can someone reuse a coupon?

No. Each shopper's coupon QR is a unique signed token, the QR rotates every 90 seconds (so a screenshot becomes worthless), and the database enforces single-use redemption at the constraint level. A double-scan can't slip through, even under concurrent attempts.

Can we keep selling printed books too?

Yes. Many chambers run both during the transition year. A printable PDF of the current digital book is on the roadmap.

Who owns the data?

The chamber. LocalFork stores and processes data on the chamber's behalf, but the customer relationships and redemption analytics belong to the chamber.

How long does setup take?

From signup to a live storefront with the first coupon: under an hour. Technical setup is about ten minutes. The rest is collecting member coupons.
